The Genesis
It began with
a meal.
After a day cultivating land in the bush near Mayflower School, a group of hungry friends called on the woman they knew as Mama — Iya Muyiwa, a chef at the school. She fed them. Singing her praises on the road home, one of them proposed that their friendship become something lasting.

From the beginning the Klub carried obligations to the town that named it. These are the commitments recorded in its own publication.
01 — EDUCATION
Exercise Books for Ikenne Schools
A yearly donation of large quantities of 60-leaf exercise books to public secondary and primary schools in Ikenne and its environs.
02 — SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships for Indigent Students
The Klub offers scholarships to indigent students in Ikenne. At the 40th Anniversary, funds were raised for this purpose through the ZKI Foundation.
03 — WELFARE
Social Safety Nets for the Elderly
Provision of social safety nets for the elderly in Ikenne and its environs.
